MAJIC JACK - $19.00 - a YEAR --- really, no joke!
This websites volunteer has been using Majic Jack for over a year. Simply plug it into a computer with an internet connection and plug a regular phone into the other end. It DOES have the reception and sound of a regular land line. (It can also be used with cordless phones; as long as the base unit is plugged into the Majic Jack)
TIP: It's worth it to connect a decent phone to the Jack. When "cheap" phones are used............... the sound is poor.
